Raipur, December 21, 2008: Chhattisgarh Chief minister Dr Raman Singh is expanding his council of ministers on Monday, officials said today.
There would not be any surprise tomorrow and as expected, other than Krishna Murti Bandhi almost all elected members could be inducted in the council of ministers by Singh, party sources said.
Vikram Usendi and Renuka Singh could again shine in the state along with new faces like Chandrasekhar Sahu and Narayan Chandel or Dharam Kaushik, they said.
Raman only took oath on December 12, last alone and in the same Police Parade Ground others would be administered oath of office and secrecy by the Governor E S L Narasimhan, officials said.
However, Singh faced a lot of difficulty in finalising the names as he had to maintain a balance between various power groups with in the ruling BJP.
The BJP had to also give proper representation to tribals, Scheduled Caste and other backward castes besides old party cadres, because of which the Chief Minister had several rounds of discussions with senior central party leaders at Delhi.
