Raipur, January 02, 2023: Chhattisgarh Assembly today witnessed noisy scene as the ruling Congress and opposition BJP clashed over the Reservation Bill, which is pending in the Raj Bhawan for nearly a month waiting for approval of the Governor Anusuiya Uikey.
Senior BJP legislature Brijmohan Agrawal raised the issue of Quantifiable Data Commission Report and questioned why that report had not yet been tabled in the house.
Fellow BJP members also supported him, although Congress members raised objections.
Meanwhile, PCC President Mohan Markam and other Congress members raised the issue of pending of the Reservation Amendment Bill with the Governor, although the house passed that in December 02, 2022.
Over the Reservation bill both the treasury and the opposition benches were seen having face to face.
Amid heated arguments Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahan appealed all the members to maintain restrain while referring the office of the Governor.
No members should speak anything against the dignity of the Governor, Speaker warned.
After continued slogan shouting from both the sides, BJP members entered the well of the house and as per the rule of the house they automatically got suspended.
Amid din, the house was declared adjourned for the day.
