Raipur, April 29, 2025: The Urban Administration and Development Department of Chhattisgarh has released Rs 103 crore as Mayor Fund in Municipal Corporations, Chairman Fund in Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats and Councillor Fund in all three types of bodies.
After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister-Urban Administration Arun Sao, the department has released the amount to the urban bodies.

Deputy Chief Minister Sao has directed the urban bodies to make good use of these funds and provide proper benefits of the schemes to the urban population of the state as soon as possible. Basic development works will be done in the bodies with this amount.
On the instructions of Sao, a total of Rs 30 crore 63 lakh 75 thousand has been released as the first installment of 50-50 per cent of the Mayor Fund in Municipal Corporations and Chairman Fund in Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats for the current financial year 2025-26.
A total of Rs. 72 crore 33 lakh 75 thousand has also been released as councillor fund in all three types of urban bodies.
The department has released Rs 10 crore 12 lakh 50 thousand as Mayor Fund in Municipal Corporations, Rs 10 crore 50 lakh as Chairman Fund in Municipal Councils and Rs 10 crore 1 lakh 25 thousand as Chairman Fund in Nagar Panchayats.
While, Rs 21 crore 96 lakh has been released to Municipal Corporations, Rs 23 crore 37 lakh 75 thousand to Municipal Councils and Rs 27 crore to Nagar Panchayats as first instalment (50 per cent) of councillor fund.
