Raipur December 16, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on the second day of his Bastar visit, today met the families of the martyred jawans in the Maoist attack and the civilians suffering from Naxalite violence and expressed his deep condolences.
Along with Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Shah, while talking to the families of the martyred jawans and the civilians suffering from Naxalite violence, said that they have lost their loved ones in a long and painful battle, and that pain cannot be reduced.
The central and state governments are with you. To keep the sacrifice and sacrifice of the martyrs permanent, the Chhattisgarh government is working to preserve their sacred memories, he said.
No one else should have to lose their loved ones like you all have lost your family members. I pay tribute to the soldiers martyred in Naxalite attacks and all those who lost their lives. I assure you that we will completely eradicate Naxalism from the land of Maa Danteshwari, the Union Minister said.
The security agencies and police personnel have been working vigorously on the Naxal front. The scope of Naxalism has been reduced due to the precise strategy of the last one year and work is being done in a phased manner to speed up a lot of development works, he said.
The Naxal eradication campaign in Chhattisgarh is getting full support and cooperation of the central government, Shah added.
The government is working on all three fronts for Naxal eradication. Those who surrender and give up the path of Maoist insurgency are being welcomed. They are also being arrested during the Naxal campaign and those who are hell-bent on taking the life of others are being answered in their own language, the Union Home Minister said.
Shah said that the Chhattisgarh government has fixed one day in a week in the office of Inspector General of Police to listen to the problems of the families of the martyrs.
He praised this initiative of the government and said that the district collector should also be present in the IG office and be a part of this campaign.
Shah said that no one can reduce the pain of losing loved ones but we will make such arrangements, which can reduce the pain.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the martyrdom of the family members will not go in vain. The Central and Chhattisgarh governments will together take care of your interests. They are all determined to do what is best for all of such people. He expressed his condolences to the families and saluted the martyrs.
It is a matter of great happiness for them that every time the jawans have achieved success on the Naxal front, the Union Home Minister encourages them, Sai said. Even today he has come to encourage the forces and the people and congratulate for your courage and determination.
Chhattisgarh government will install statues in the villages of the martyred soldiers to preserve their memories, he said.
Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma said that they wanted to meet the families of the jawans who were martyred for peace and progress in Bastar and the families who suffered in Naxal violence. All of you are a part of our family and this sorrow of losing our loved ones is giving equal pain to all of us, Sharma added.
