Raipur, April 17, 2014: Amid apprehension of high voltage political activities, polling was started today for the second phase of parliamentary election in Chhattisgarh.
Three Maoist-hit constituencies Rajnandgaon, Kanker and Mahasamund today went to poll for which elaborate security arrangements have also been made.
Polling are going on in 6114 booths, out of which 2452 polling booths are put in sensitive category.
The political fate of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, Abhishek Singh, son of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and former Minister Vikram Usendi would be decided in today’s election.
Counting of votes will take place on May 16, 2014.
