     Raipur, April 17, 2014: Over 65 per cent voters today exercised their right in the three Maoist-hit constituencies Rajnandgaon, Kanker and Mahasamund, Election Commission sources said.

     In Rajnandgaon 68 per cent voters exercised their rights, where as 67 per cent votes were registered in Kanker and 65 per cent in Mahasamund.

      Excluding some minor Maoist incidents, amid elaborate security arrangements the voting completed more or less in a peaceful note.

      On the second phase of parliamentary election in Chhattisgarh a total of 6114 booths went to poll today, out of which 2452 polling booths were sensitive.

    The political fate of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, Abhishek Singh, son of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and former Minister Vikram Usendi would be decided in today’s election.

       Counting of votes will take place on May 16, 2014.
