Jagdalpur, December 01, 2014: At least 14 CRPF jawans were killed and several were injured in a daring Maoist attack in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
When a CRPF party was in operation, Maoists attacked and killed 14 jawans, CRPF sources said.
Several personnels were also injured in that incident, police said.
Sources said when the CRPF party was chasing Hidma, the party led by Hidma and another troop of dreaded Commander Chaitu ambushed the central para military forces.
The ambush was laid between Elmagunda and Errabore forest.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and briefed them about the incident.
Singh has also condemned the incident and asked the top police officials to take all necessary steps in combating the Maoists.
Singh has also called for an emergency meeting to review the situation.
