Raipur, May 07, 2012: Chhattisgarh Government today said any one having less than two and half acre agriculture land would be treated as labourers and would be entitled for all benefits of an unorganized labourer.
“Land less farm labourers and any farmers having less than 2.5 acre of agriculture land would hence forth be recognized as unorganized labourers in Chhattisgarh,” a state government release said here.
As per the notification issued by the Labour Department, both the categories would also be entitled for benefits given to the unorganized labourers of the state.
Because of the sensitive initiative of the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, the notification was issued, Labour and Agriculture Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu said.
