Kawardha, February 18, 2009: Over 20,000 people, including Governor ESL Narasimhan, today gathered here at the native place of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh to mourn the death of his mother.
On the 13th day of her death people from various walks of life, estimated to be over 20,000, paid tributes to her.
Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were BJP National Secretary Dharmendra Pradhan, Speaker Dharamlal Kaushik, senior ministers Brij Mohan Agrawal, Rajesh Munat, Ram Vichar Netam, Hem Chand Yadav, Kedar Kashyap and MP Nand Kumar Sai, besides the Governor.
On February 6, last Sudha Singh passed away.
She was 86.
After a brief illness she died in a private nursing home at the capital city Raipur.
