Korba, February 17, 2009: Chhattisgarh Police today arrested five persons after a father damaged the eyes of the father of a person, who is accused of killing his son in Korba district of Chhattisgarh.
Five persons have been arrested and the police was looking for the sixth one for damaging the eye of a person, who allegedly killed the son of one of the arrested persons, Korba District Superintendent of Police Ratan Lal Dangi said today.
Shiv Shankar and five others stopped a passenger bus on Saturday last and dragged out one Ramvriksh, whose son had killed the son of Shiv Shankar, Korba police said.
After forcefully dragging him out of the vehicle, when Ramvriksh was travelling with is wife, the six persons had mercilessly beaten him first and then pierced some wooden sticks and damaged both the eyes of the father of the killer accused, they said.
It was done allegedly by Shiv Shankar to take revenge of the killing of his son by the son of Ramvriksh on January 15, last, near Sirki village of Kathghora police station area over a mobile phone, they said.
On Sunday last a complaint was lodged on that incident.
When contacted, Ophthalmologist of the District Hospital Dr K L Dhruv said although the left eye of the victim was not much damaged, but the condition of the right eye was critical, because of which he had been referred to Raipur for better treatment.
Meanwhile, Korba District SP Ratan Lal Dangi said five persons have been arrested in that connection and the Police was looking for the sixth one.
