Raigarh, August 07, 2011: Congress MP Naveen Jindal owned Jindal Steel and Power Limited has opened a college here in its premises of Chhattisgarh to impart training to the students to meet the increasing demand of talents.
As per the corporate social responsibility, the O P Jindal Community College was inaugurated at Jindal premises of Punjipathra in Raigarh district today, a JSPL release said here.
The College would run various short term certificate courses also, it said.
Under the category of six-month certificate courses Metallurgy, turner, basic building, fitter, computer, industrial electrician, basic electrical practices, house wiring, repair and maintenance of domestic electrical appliances, repair of fans and pumps, transformer binding and carpentry would be run by the institute, the JSPL said.
The training would enable the locals in empowerment as well as self employment, it added.
