Rajnandgaon, May 12, 2025: Chhattisgarh government has set a target of construction of 34 thousand 742 pucca houses in Rajnandgaon district under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin.
So far 29,744 houses have been approved under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin in the district and the construction of 8,249 houses has been completed, official sources said today.

Last month in a programme attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bilaspur more than 4358 beneficiaries from Rajnandgaon district had made griha pravesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin.
Since March 2025, pucca houses of more than 3799 beneficiaries have been constructed in the district.
Similarly, a programme is being organized tomorrow with Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the Chief Guest in Sarguja district headquarters Ambikapur in which more than 3799 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin beneficiaries of the district will be handed over houses under Sushasan Tihar through virtual medium.
Necessary guidelines have been given to Awas Mitra, Gram Rozgar Sahayak and Panchayat Secretary for organizing the programme through virtual medium at the village level, the sources added.
