Raipur, September 24, 2025: Three members of a splinter group from Maoist were shot dead today in an encounter in Gumla district of Jharkhand, a top police officers said.
“Three members of the Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad were killed today in a gun battle with security forces,” Inspector General of Police-Operations in Jharkhand Dr Michaelraj S. told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com by phone.
Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad is a splinter group of Maoists and were operating in the eastern Indian state, the IG-Operation said.
They were killed in Bishnupur area of Gumla district in an encounter, the top police officer said.
With this the entire cadre of Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) have been eliminated, he added.
Among the killed were 2 sub zonal commanders and one area commander, Dr Michaelraj said.
