     Dantewada/Raipur, June 11, 2011: In a third deadly attack in as many days, Maoists today killed three CRPF personnel and seriously injured two in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, police said.

     “In a fresh gun battle between the CRPF and the Maoists, three security personnel were killed and two seriously injured,” Spokesman of the Chhattisgarh Police Vivekanand told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

     When the forces were on an area domination operation in Bhejji of Dantewada district, a large number of Maoists attacked them and in the gun battle police lost three of its forces, police officials said

     The incident took place close to Bhejji CRPF Camp, about 165 Km from Dantewada district headquarters, they said.

     It was not immediately known how many of the Maoists had been killed or injured in the exchange of fire, which lasted for over two hours, police added.

     Only on Thursday night in the same Dantewada district Maoists had blew up an anti-land mine vehicle killing ten policemen and seriously injuring three police personnel.

     The Saturday attack was the third incident of inflicting casualty on police forces by the Maoists IN Chhattisgarh in as many days as on Thursday morning the Left wing extremists killed 5 policemen in Jharaghati area in Narayanpur district and with in 16 hours of that incident 10 security personnel were killed near Gatam village in Dantewada district, both in Bastar region of the state.
