Raipur, January 15, 2012: Five crew members had a providential escape as a helicopter of the Border Security Force (BSF) crashed at Mana Air Port of the Capital city of Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
″Five crew members were injured as a BSF copter crashed at Raipur Airport″ Mana Airport officials told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
At the time of landing the Dhruv helicopter crashed, Air Traffic Control authorities have confirmed.
Stating that the pilot and co-pilot, an engineer and two technical staff were injured in that incident, Airport officials said all the five had been rushed to a private hospital here for treatment.
BSF is engaged in anti-Maoist operation in Chhattisgarh, where they have been using flying machines to ferry men and materials to the interior areas.
Meanwhile, several civil, police and BSF officials have visited the hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured crew members.
