Raipur, March 08, 2011: Chhattisgarh Government today informed the state assembly that 96 foreigners from various nations are currently staying in the state illegally.
Illegally 96 foreigners have been staying in Chhattisgarh, Home Minister Nanki Ram Kanwar said replying to a question of Dharamjeet Singh of Congress.
As of February 04, 2011 a total of 1143 Pakistani nationals, 35 Bangladeshi and 709 people from other nations were staying in Chhattisgarh, he said.
Out of the 1887 foreign nationals 1791 had valid passport/visa where as 96 living without valid documents, the government said adding action are being initiated against them.
