Raipur, October 23, 2011: Senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani today pulled up the Congress-led government at the Centre over its stand on Maoists and said the policy of the Central Government on the issue was ambiguous.
“Policy of the Centre on Maoism is ambiguous. Unclear,” former Deputy Prime Minister Advani told a press conference here.
Uncertain policy towards Maoism was dangerous to the country, he said.
Praising State BJP Government, former Home Minister said Maoism was started from Naxalbari but due to strong policy it was rooted out from West Bengal and a similar strong policy was being adopted by the Raman Singh Government here in Chhattisgarh, he said.
Replying to another question, Advani said there was no serious allegation of corruption against the Raman Singh government in the state.
He also expressed deep sorrow over the death of several people in yesterday train accident at Tarbahar railway level crossing.
