Raipur, October 26, 2011: Chhattisgarh Government has identified migration prone 28 blocks, spread over 10 districts, to provide health services to the vulnerable section of the society, officials said today.
Looking into number of diseases spread among the rural populace, the Health Department has identified 28 such blocks, from where people are migrating to other areas and the Department would organise health camps in those areas, official sources said here.
The national Rural health Mission and the State AIDS Control Organisation are jointly organising such camps, where besides general health, HIV test would also be conducted, the officials said.
The 28 blocks, identified as migration prone, are spread over ten districts, they said.
The identified blocks, where health camps organised are Bilaigarh, Kasdol, Palari, Balodabazar, Bhatapara of Raipur District, Katghora of Korba District, Bagbahara, Pithora, Basna of Mahasamund district, Kharsia, Gharghoda, Sarangarh of Raigarh district.
Pakhanjur of Kanker district, Nagri of Dhamtari, Balod, Bemetara, Dhamdha, Saja, Nawagarh of Durg District, Masturi, Lormi, Mungeli, Kota of Bilaspur District, Dongargarh, Dongargaon of Rajnandgaon district, Pamgarh, Nawagarh and Malkharoda blocks of Janjgir-Champa District have also been identified, they said.
