Raipur, September 01, 2012: Former BJP National President Rajnath Singh today demanded cancellation of all coal block allotments and resignation of Manmohan Singh from the Prime Ministership over the Rs 1.86 lakh crore irregularities in Coal sector.
The Centre should immediately cancel all the allotments of coal blocks and Dr Manmohan Singh should immediately resign, Rajnath Singh told reporters here.
The country was passing through a crisis as there was a wide gap between the words and actions of the politicians, he said.
Later addressing a public meeting, Rajnath said the BJP has decided to take the issue to the people, because of which such meetings are being organized in other parts of the country.
Over the eighth years the UPA government had lost its credibility and proved disastrous in many fields, the BJP national leader said and called upon the people to throw that out in the next election.
Terming the coal block scam the biggest one in the Independent India, he demanded looking in to 2G scam, irregularities in Commonwealth Games, Adarsh scam and the latest Coal scam, on moral ground Manmohan Singh should immediately resign.
