Raipur, May 03, 2012: Main opposition Congress today expressing happiness over the release by Maoists of the Sukma District Collector Alex V F Paul Menon V, demanded a high level probe into the entire episode.
Chhattisgarh PCC President Nan Kumar Patel and Leader of Opposition Ravindra Choubey in a statement praised the patience of Asha, wife of Menon and said during the crisis the people of the state have remained united.
Expressing happiness over the release of Menon by Maoists, both the leaders also demanded a high power probe into the entire incident.
“We also demand a high level probe into the entire incident,” they said in a joint statement.
They also claimed that the state BJP government has lost its control over a larger portion of the state and added there was no trace of government in the state as well.
