Korba, November 11, 2008: Bahujan Samaj Party candidate for Akaltara seat of Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh Sourav Singh has been seriously injured in a road accident.
While returning back from Kirari village after campaigning, the vehicle of Singh hit a road side truck past mid night yesterday, in which the BSP candidate and two of his supporters are injured, Janjgir-Champa District Superintendent of Police P S Bara told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Looking into his condition Singh has been referred to Apollo Hospital Bilaspur, he said.
It was a careless driving because of which the vehicle of the BSP candidate hit a road side truck, the SP said adding the driver of the candidate is missing after that incident and case has also been registered against him.
