Raipur, March 08, 2016: BJP Government in Chhattisgarh today tabled the Economic Survey of Chhattisgarh for the year 2015-2016 and said the growth in agriculture sector would be even less than one per cent.
Minister for Planning and Statistics Punnu Lal Mohle today tabled the Economic Survey of the state for the year 2015-2016.
Compared to the previous year, in the year 2015-16 the growth is expected to be 7.07 per cent, the report said.
However, the state has achieved a growth in the agriculture and related fields of animal husbandry, pisciculture and forest sector for the year 2014-15 of a mere 0.47 per cent.
On the industrial sector (construction, mining, electricity, gas and water supply) the growth was 7.07 per cent and the service sector has registered a growth of 9.81 per cent.
The per capita income was Rs 66,438 in the year 2013-14, which went up to Rs 73,758 in the year 2014-15 and for the fiscal 2015-16 it would touch Rs 81,756, the report suggested.
