Girls enrollment in schools encouraging: CM

     Raipur, March 30, 2016: The number of girls students have increased to match with boys students in high schools, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said today.

      Replying to a debate on the appropriation bill for the next fiscal, the Chief Minister said there was a difference of about 22 per cent among the boys and girls enrollments, which has now been shared equally by both the genders in high school education.

      This girl’s education will take Chhattisgarh to a new height, he said.

      Singh also said his government has been working on over all development of the state.

     In the last 12 years 42,000 kilometres of rural road network has been spread in the state, he said.

     Since Chhattisgarh was reeling under drought condition, a relief of Rs 450 crore has been provided to the farmers as relief, the Chief Minister added.

      The institutional delivery record has achieved a quantum jump from a meager 18 per cent to 81 per cent, he said.

      After the discussion the bill was passed by the assembly.
