Kanker, October 28, 2022: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Assembly Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahant, AICC General Secretary P L Punia and others today paid rich tributes to Deputy Speaker Manoj Singh Mandavi, who passed away on October 16 after a massive cardiac arrest.
Several Congress and BJP top leaders today attended the Shraddhanjali and shanti-bhoj programme at the native place Nathiya Nawagaon in Kanker district of Manoj Mandavi.
Senior legislature of Bhanupratappur Manoj Mandavi passed away on October 16, last.
After paying floral tributes at the Samadhi, Chief Minister recalling his relations with Mandavi said, he was a simple, soft spoken and a very popular leader of the state.
Mandavi was first elected to the undivided Madhya Pradesh Assembly in 1998 and after creation of the new state, he was made the Minister of state for Home in Chhattisgarh.
He was elected to the Chhattisgarh assembly in 2013 and 2018 and in 2019 Mandavi was made the Deputy Speaker of the state assembly.
The Chief Minister also met the bereaved family members of the Congress leader.
