Raipur, December 16, 2022: Chhattisgarh government has distributed so far Rs 5738 crore agriculture loan with zero rate of interest to 14 lakh farmers of the state.
The state government has set the target of providing Rs 6610 crore loan to farmers this season and out of that the state has disbursed Rs 5738 crore agriculture loans to 14 lakh farmers, official sources said today.
The state has also provided Rs 70 crore loan to 17,818 farmers who are engaged in horticulture, millets, oilseeds and pulses productions.
Through the cooperative societies 44.57 lakh tons paddy has been purchased by the state from 11 lakh 59 thousand 513 farmers
Against the procurement the state government through the cooperative banks had disbursed Rs 8,503 crore to the farmers, they said.
