Raipur, March 14, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today said the budget of his Congress government was for the poor, farmers, labourers, SC, ST and youths of the state.
The state government has also decided to conduct a survey of the schemes like Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana and sanitisation programme, Baghel said.
The Chief Minister was replying to a debate on the annual budget for the 2023-24 in the Chhattisgarh Assembly today.
Since the Central Government had not conducted the scheduled Census for 2021, the beneficiaries are facing problems, Baghel said.
Talking about the state government budget, he said, more money will be provided from the next fiscal to the anganwadi workers, kotwars or village guards, cooks of mid-day meal and sanitisation workers.
The Chief Minister also said the outlay of the next year budget would be 1 lakh 32 thousand 370 crore rupees.
Due to better fiscal management, the state government had not taken any loan from the market for the current fiscal of 2022-23.
The state has a loan burden of 17.9 per cent of its GSDP whereas 15th Finance Commission has recommended the ceiling of 25 per cent, he said.
