Raipur, July 12, 2023: Congress party today said their government in Chhattisgarh is committed to the promise of prohibition in the state.
“BJP leaders are unnecessarily creating drama when Congress government in Chhattisgarh is committed to prohibition,” PCC Spokesperson Vandana Rajput in a statement said.
The agitation by BJP Mahila Morcha demanding ban in sale of liquor in Chhattisgarh was nothing but a drama. Rajput claimed.
Why the women leaders were silent when BJP was in power for15 years and now raising the issue, she questioned.
The PCC asked why then BJP government changed the liquor policy to sale liquor by the government, when they should have issued order to ban sale of liquor in the state. The Congress government is committed to prohibition and to create awareness among the people, the government was working hard for the last four years, Rajput said.
