Raipur, July 17, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the Chhattisgarhiya Olympic, which will continue till September 27.
The Chhattisgarhiya Olympic was started throughout the state today on the occasion of Hareli Festival.
Chief Minister Baghel inaugurated the Chhattisgarhiya Olympic from the Navagaon gram panchayat of Raipur district.
It is expected that 30 lakh male and female would participate in the state government organised games.
In the Chhattisgarhiya Olympic there would be competition among people in the traditional games being played in the state and especially in rural areas.
This would be the second year of such Olympic and there would be 16 traditional games to be played during the Olympic.
The Chhattisgarhiya Olympic would be played in six rounds and would continue for about two and half months.
The Olympic would be closed on September 27, Sports Department officials said.
