Jagdalpur, February 03, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today reached Narayanpur district headquarters in Bastar region and personally enquired about the developmental works being carried out in the Maoist-hit district.
The Chief Minister also wanted to know how the administration was carrying out activities to combat Maoist violence.

This is the first ever visit of the Chief Minister Sai to Narayanpur district.
Local people and leaders had accorded a warm welcome to Sai, who in returned thanked them for giving victory to the BJP and said his government is dedicated to the cause of the tribals, poors and farmers.
Sai also dedicated or laid the foundation stone for works worth Rs 108 crore for the under-developed Narayanpur district, which has a long history of Maoist violence.

A total of 29 developmental works worth Rs 22.66 crore were dedicated to the people in a function, whereas the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for 52 developmental works worth Rs 86.12 crore.
Tribal Welfare Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Intelligence Head Amit Kumar, Bastar IG P Sunder Raj, District Collector Vipin Manjhi and SP Pushkar Shrivastava and a large number of tribal were present in the function of the Chief Minister.
