Kanker, April 22, 2024: Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah today came down heavily on his arch rival Congress and alleged that the Century old party is anti-poor.
Addressing an election rally in support of Kanker BJP Lok Sabha candidate Bhojraj Nag, Amit Shah appealed to the people of the state to give all eleven seats of the state to the BJP, including Kanker.
Congress was creating obstacle to Ram temple but after winning for the second term Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only won the case, but also built the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, Shah said.
Modi has a 10 years track record and 25 years of vision. Let Rahul Gandhi explain why this state was poor for so long, he asked.
Also why Congress was not creating Chhattisgarh as a new state, he questioned.
Narendra Modi has been providing 5 kg rice to the poor and if comes to power in the third term this free rice scheme will continue till 2029, Shah said.
He also announced the senior citizen, above the age of 70, should not be worried about their medical expenditure as their son Modi would take care of that, he added.
Talking about the naxal issue, the Union Home Minister said Modi has rooted out terrorism from the country and the Maoists issue will be finished soon once BJP comes to power at the Centre in this election.
In the last 4 months 90 Maoists were killed, 123 were arrested and 250 had surrendered. “I urge the rest of Maoists to surrender as soon as possible else will be eliminated,” he told the public meeting at Kanker district headquarters of Bastar region in Chhattisgarh.
He said Maoists have been finished from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Madhya Pradesh and in 2 years’ time it will be finished from Chhattisgarh also.
