Raipur, December 21, 2008: Prominent tribal leader Nanki Ram Kanwar is all set to become the third Speaker of Chhattisgarh Assembly.
The BJP has finalised the name of Kanwar after a detailed discussion with the central leader, BJP sources said.
Kanwar represents Rampur Tribal reserve seat in Chhattisgarh Assembly.
In fact state in charge and BJP National Secretary Dharmendra Pradhan is said to have selected his name saying Kanwar has a very clean image as a prominent tribal leader.
Kanwar also had a vast legislative experience and many considered that as a plus point and, if elected, he would be the first tribal to reach to the chair of Speaker of 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly.
