Jashpur, March 16, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today described the aircraft training started for the first time in Jashpur district as a historic initiative and said Jashpur is now not only a center of tourism and natural beauty, but also becoming a new hub of aviation training.

Chief Minister Sai also met the cadets of 3 CG Air Squadron NCC Raipur at Aagadih airstrip in Jashpur district and encouraged them.
Sai interacted with the cadets and listened to their experiences and described the pilot training as a historic initiative.

The state government is committed to providing necessary resources and opportunities to the youth for career building in every field. Now the youth can also fulfill their dream of becoming a pilot, for which the government will provide all possible assistance, he said.
On this occasion, he inspected the Micro Light Air Squadron aircraft and was briefed about its technical information.
Along with this, Sai instructed the officials to take the cadets on a tour of the major tourist places of Jashpur, so that they can get acquainted with the natural beauty and biodiversity of the district.

He also informed that cashew, tea, pear and apple are being cultivated on a large scale in Jashpur, which has given a new dimension to the agriculture of his native district.
For the first time, pilot training in Jashpur, 100 cadets will get opportunity
Cadets are being trained to fly aircraft in Jashpur district from March 7, 2025. For the first time outside Raipur, such a training programme has been organized in Jashpur district, due to which tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among the cadets.
Training is being given with twin-seater SW-80 aircraft
The length of Agadih airstrip is 1200 meters and the width is 25 meters. The cadets are being trained there with single engine twin-seater Virus SW-80 aircraft, which can fly up to a maximum height of 20,000 feet. However, at present, flights are being conducted up to a height of 1,000 feet for training.
The Commanding Officer said that cadets who get high grade in the “C” certificate of NCC Air Wing are considered eligible for the Air Force interview directly, due to which this training lays the foundation for their bright future.

Trainee Nitesh Prajapati said that the clean and beautiful environment of Jashpur is very suitable for flight training.
“My dream is to become an Air Force pilot, and this training will help me move forward in that direction,” he said.
Similarly, Pranshu Chauhan said that the air traffic in Jashpur is better, due to which there is no hindrance in the flight. The runway is also completely clear, due to which the training is being conducted without any interruption.
“Training amidst natural beauty will always be memorable for us,” he added.
