Raipur, June 04, 2025: The transfer policy of Chhattisgarh government for the year 2025 was approved in a cabinet meeting held at the State Secretariat here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.

Under the transfer policy for the year 2025 transfers at the district level will be done from June 14 to June 25 by the Minister-in-Charge and at the state level with the approval of the departmental minister for which applications will be accepted from June 6 to June 13.
Under the policy, a minimum of two years of service is mandatory. However, special provisions have been made in cases of serious illness, mental/physical disability and one year before retirement, officials clarified.
A substitute is mandatory for transfer from scheduled areas. Along with this, special efforts will be made to fill the vacant posts in districts like Sukma, Bijapur, and Narayanpur.
In the case of Class 3 employees, a maximum of 10 per cent of the total number of their cadre and a maximum of 15 per cent of class fourth employees can be transferred.
The state government said that probationary officers and employees will not be transferred.
Also, for posting of husband and wife at one place, rural-urban balance and transparency, all transfer orders of the state level will be issued through e-office.
Transfer will have to be issued at the district level within the prescribed time period and a copy of the order will have to be mailed to the General Administration Department (GAD) on the same date.
Attachment of all district level employees will be considered over from June 5, 2025 and wherever an employee is required, transfer can be done as per the transfer policy, they said.
Representation can be made to the state level committee within 15 days against the transfer.
There will be a complete ban on transfer after June 25. Transfer order can be issued after approval in coordination if absolutely necessary, the policy said.
