Raipur, August 14, 2025: Emphasizing on the Tiranga Yatra and the resolve to hoist the tricolour in every house, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today said that the national flag reflects the aspirations of crores of Indians and it is an indelible consciousness of our valour, peace and prosperity.
“Our tricolour is a living symbol of years of struggles and sacrifices of ancestors. We will all always maintain the pride of the tricolor, will never forget our immortal martyrs and all together will build a developed, prosperous and strong Chhattisgarh,” Chief Minister Sai said participating in the Independence Run organized at Marine Drive in the capital city today.

During this, he participated with thousands of youth for the run and garlanded the statue of Bharat Mata and Rani Durgavati and paid homage to them.
Addressing the programme Sai said that the tricolour contains the aspirations of crores of Indians and it is an indelible consciousness of our valour, peace and prosperity.
While paying obeisance to the sacred tricolour, the Chief Minister said that on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the entire country has been filled with national flag on Independence Day for the last few years.
For the last few days, all have been celebrating this holy day with enthusiasm in different ways. Tiranga Yatras and the resolve to hoist the tricolour in every home have connected this holy occasion with the people, he said.

This Tiranga Yatra is not just an event, but a living symbol of the unity, integrity and national pride. Independence Day reminds us that freedom is the invaluable gift of countless sacrifices. Millions of patriots sacrificed their lives, only then India got this freedom, the Chief Minister said.
Sai said that today’s special occasion reminded him of his childhood days. When he was in school, Prabhat Pheri used to be taken out on Independence Day, patriotic songs used to resonate in every village. The pride that was felt at that time, the same pride is still in our hearts.
Today it is our responsibility to take our country and state to new heights of development. We have prepared a developed Chhattisgarh vision document for the year 2047, and our government is working accordingly. This is a common resolution of the government as well as all of us, he said.

The Chief Minister wished everyone a Happy Independence Day in advance.
In the programme, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankaram Verma said that the Independence Run is not just a race but a response to the struggle for independence. The country has got independence due to the sacrifice of brave sons. Going with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of a developed, clean, healthy and great India, our Chief Minister has also cherished the dream of a developed and prosperous Chhattisgarh.
We should take a pledge to give our invaluable contribution to fulfill this dream, said Minister Verma.
During this occasion, MLAs Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, Guru Khuswant Saheb, Anuj Sharma, District Panchayat Chairman Naveen Agarwal, Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Yashwant Kumar were present.
