Raipur, September 05, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today transferred an amount of Rs 1000 each to the accounts of 69,15,994 women of the state while paying the 19th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.
In a grand programme organized in Kharsia city of Raigarh district the Chief Minister said that this scheme is playing an important role in improving the standard of living of women and empowering their self-esteem.
Sai expressed confidence that this financial assistance will prove to be helpful in making the women of the state self-reliant and in strengthening the economic condition of the family.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Finance Minister O P Choudhary and Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade were also present on the occasion.
A total of Rs 647.13 crore was transferred in the 19th installment of the month of September. Including this payment, till now about Rs 12,376.19 crore has been given to 69,28,334 eligible women directly in their bank accounts under the scheme.
It is worth noting that the objective of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, started from March 1 2024, is to make married and eligible women above 21 years of age financially empowered and self-reliant by providing them financial assistance of Rs 1000 every month.
This scheme is proving to be a strong step towards social security and self-reliance of the women of the state.
Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade said that this scheme is giving new energy, confidence and respect to the women of the state. It is bringing positive changes in their lives and connecting them to the mainstream of economic progress.
The state government has announced that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be made more effective by giving priority to the development, security and self-respect of women.
While interacting with the women present in the programme, Chief Minister Sai assured them that the government always stands with them and will continue to take steps to improve their lives.
