     Raipur, October 24, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the loss of lives due to a mishap in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

      “Extremely saddened by the loss of lives due to a mishap in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured,” the Prime Minister said.

     He announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured, the PMO India handle in post on X said.

      A Bengaluru-bound private bus from Hyderabad caught fire in Kurnool district earlier today after colliding with a two-wheeler, leaving 12 people dead, media reports said.

     The motorcycle collided with the bus near Chinnatekur in Kurnool and got dragged underneath with its fuel cap open, triggering the blaze, reports said adding that the toll may increase.

     Among the killed are 11 passengers and a biker, quoting police the reports said

     It is stated that there were 41 passengers, including the driver of the bus, travelling in the bus the reports said the bus door got jammed due to a short circuit after the incident and the vehicle was completely gutted.
