     Raipur, December 14, 2025: Chhattisgarh’s Chief Electoral Officer Yashwant Kumar today reviewed the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

     The meeting reviewed the voter list update work in details also.

     Chief Electoral Officer Yashwant Kumar directed all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to ensure the physical verification of enumeration forms in their respective assembly constituencies and their mandatory uploading through the BLO app.

     He said that necessary proof should be preserved regarding the voters whose names are being removed from the list.

      Kumar instructed that the revision of all eligible voters who have been left out should be ensured, and the voters in the ASD (Absent, Shifted, and Deceased) category should be accurately verified and necessary action taken as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India.

     Along with this, instructions were also given to compulsorily coordinate with the BLOs of political parties regarding the list of uncollected enumeration forms and obtain their signatures.

     The Chief Electoral Officer instructed the officers to complete the voter list update work with utmost sensitivity, transparency, and responsibility, and said that it should be ensured that no eligible voter is deprived of being included in the list.

     The meeting was attended by Collector Dr Gaurav Singh, Municipal Commissioner Vishwadeep, District Panchayat CEO Kumar Bishwaranjan, Deputy Chief Electoral Officers Jai Uraon and Manoj Kosaria, Deputy DEO Naveen Kumar Thakur, along with all EROs and AEROs and other concerned officers.
