Raipur, March 1, 2009: Chhattisgarh Government today accepted the resignation of Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Dr Lakshman Chaturvedi from the post.
The resignation of Chaturvedi was today accepted by the Governor and Chancellor ESL Narasimhan, Raj Bhawan sources said.
Chaturvedi had resigned from the Raipur based University on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur, which was just recently upgraded as a Central University by the Government of India.
Meanwhile, Prof S K Pandey, Head of the Department of Physics, is appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University in place of Chaturvedi.
