Raipur, March 7, 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today extending his greetings to the people of the state on Rangpanchami, remarked that this year, the festival of Holi has brought with it a special measure of joy for the state’s farmers.
Under the state government’s Krishak Unnati Yojana (Farmers’ Progress Scheme), a substantial sum of Rs 10,324 crore—representing the differential amount for paddy procurement—was transferred directly into the farmers’ bank accounts even before the arrival of Holi.

This initiative has created an atmosphere of jubilation in the homes of the state’s food-providers, effectively doubling the festive enthusiasm for Holi, Sai said.
While conveying his Rangpanchami wishes to the citizens, the Chief Minister stated that Holi is not merely a festival of colours; rather, it is a celebration that conveys a message of love, harmony, and brotherhood—a festival that weaves the fabric of society together through the threads of mutual unity and cohesion.
He further noted that Holi is a festival that encourages people to set aside their mutual differences and embrace a spirit of love and friendship. This festival serves to further strengthen the sentiments of cordiality, harmony, and solidarity within society.
The Chief Minister added that Holi Milan ceremonies play a pivotal role in fostering mutual interaction and harmony within the community.
