Raipur, April 23, 2026: Under the leadership of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, positive changes are being witnessed in the lives of rehabilitated youths who have renounced Maoism and returned to the social mainstream.

Prioritizing the rehabilitation of these youths, the State Government is connecting them with various public welfare schemes, thereby enabling them to take steps toward self-reliance.

With the objective of ensuring that rehabilitated youths benefit from government schemes, the Bijapur District Administration is providing them with essential documents—including Ration Cards and Aadhaar Cards—on a priority basis. Additionally, Ayushman Cards are being issued to connect them with better healthcare facilities.

Ayushman Cards were distributed to the rehabilitated youths during a programme organized at the Bijapur District Hospital. Through these cards, they will gain access to the benefits of various health schemes. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Swasthya Yojana, free medical treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided to BPL (Below Poverty Line) families, and up to Rs 50,000 to APL (Above Poverty Line) families.

Furthermore, under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme, free medical aid of up to Rs 25 lakh is provided for the treatment of serious and rare diseases.

During the programme, beneficiaries were also provided with detailed information regarding the utilization of these schemes and the associated procedures.

A renewed sense of confidence was evident among the rehabilitated youths after receiving their Ayushman Cards.

Appreciating this initiative by the government and the administration, they expressed their desire to move forward within the mainstream and build a better future for themselves.

Officials stated that this initiative is not only providing health security to the rehabilitated youths but is also inspiring them to lead a dignified life within society.

The administration’s objective is to empower all such youths by integrating them into these schemes, making them self-reliant, and ensuring their active and empowered participation in the social mainstream.
