Prominent people under SIR net

    Raipur, September 20, 2026: Having found discrepancies in their details in the enumeration forms several prominent people residing in Delhi have been issued notices under the SIR exercise, reports said today.

     Election Commissioner S S Sandhu, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Former deputy prime minister LK Advani, former vice-president Jagdeep Dhankhar, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal  are among the prominent people who have been issued notices for “discrepancies” in their details furnished under the SIR exercise, media reports said today.

     Sources claimed that 33.13 lakh notices were being issued over discrepancies in Delhi.

     They stated that notices were issued mostly for voter details not matching with the information in the last SIR in 2002.

     After the publication of draft rolls of over 97 lakh voters under the SIR, 33.13 lakh notices were being issued over “discrepancies” in details furnished by people in their enumeration forms, the reports said.
