Amit Shah said, Jain Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj taught us that our culture is our identity. If we lose our culture, then we will have no identity in front of the world.
Acharya ji has given the message of humanity and world brotherhood to all of us by rising above narrow-mindedness like communalism, linguisticism, casteism etc, he said.

Jain Acharyas and saintss have worked towards binding the entire country together. Jain saints and sages have travelled everywhere on foot from Hastinapur in Uttar Pradesh to Shravanabelagola in Karnataka and Rajgir in Bihar to Girnar in Gujarat, spreading the light of knowledge and inspiring people to follow the right path through sacrifice and austerity, the Union Home Minister said.
He said that Acharya Vidyasagar ji lived his life like a Kalpavriksha. Every moment, the countrymen got new inspiration from his penance and sacrifice.

Today at this place, all the people together have decided to build a grand Samadhi of Acharya ji, for this, everyone deserves praise, Shah said.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that even though Acharya Shri Vidyasagar ji Maharaj is not present among us in physical body, but his teachings will always inspire us to follow the right path like a lighthouse for ages.

Acharya ji travelled miles on foot for the protection of religion and strengthening the nation. He maintained such restraint in food and living habits that we are all amazed just thinking about it. Acharya ji inspired crores of people with his life said Sai.
He was a national saint and had a deep love for Swadeshi. He always used to say that we should never leave our cultural roots, the Chief Minister said.
Sai, while paying his respects to Pujya Samta Sagar Ji Maharaj and all the Jain monks who had come from all over the country, said that it is my wish that Chhattisgarh always gets the blessings of the saints.
