Raipur, August 01, 2026: Welcoming the Central Government’s decision to transfer advance tax shares to states, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today described it as a historic step that strengthens the spirit of cooperative federalism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sai stated that making the tax share available ahead of schedule, keeping in mind the development needs of the states, reflects the Central Government’s sensitive, visionary, and development-oriented approach.
He noted that the receipt of Rs 3,602 crore by Chhattisgarh as an advance tax transfer would further accelerate infrastructure development, public welfare schemes, and the implementation of various development projects in the state.
This will facilitate the timely progress of ongoing works in sectors such as roads, irrigation, education, health, and drinking water, ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person more effectively, he added.
The Chief Minister remarked that the spirit of trust, cooperation, and coordination between the Centre and the states forms the strong foundation for building a Developed India. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the Central Government is continuously taking effective decisions to empower states and strengthen their financial capacity.
Sai expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on behalf of the people of the state for this significant decision.
He expressed confidence that the continued support of the Central Government would further strengthen the resolve to build a developed Chhattisgarh.
