     Raipur, May 03, 2013: Senior BJP leader Ajay Chandrakar was today appointed Spokesman of the ruling party in Chhattisgarh.

     State Party President Ram Sewak Painkra has appointed Ajay Chandrakar as the state BJP Spokesman, a BJP release said here today.

     Chandrakar was defeated in the last Assembly election from Lekhram Sahu of Congress from Kurud constituency.

     He was Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development and School Education during the first BJP government of the state.

      He was also functioning as the Chairman of the state Finance Commission during the second term of the BJP government.
