     Raipur, March 18, 2014: Former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi has been declared as the Congress candidate from Mahasamund parliamentary seat of Chhattisgarh.

     Similarly Phulodevi Netam will be the Congress candidate from Kanker reserved Lok Sabha seat to fight Vikram Usendi of BJP.

     With the declaration of his name as candidate, Jogi ended his sabbatical.

     However, when asked about his taking sanyas from politics for one year, Jogi said party President Sonia Gandhi had rejected his leave application.

     He had already represented Mahasamund once in Lok Sabha and it would not be difficult for his to win the seat again, he said.

     Currently Chandulal Sahu of BJP is the sitting MP from Mahasamund.
