Akbar Ram Korram new SP Dhamtari

     Raipur, December 14, 2011: Chhattisgarh Government today appointed state cadre police officer Akbar Ram Korram as the new District Superintendent of Police Dhamtari.

     Korram, a non-IPS, was currently posted as the Commandant of the First Battalion of Chhattisgarh Armed Force at Bhilai.

     After Avinash Mohanty was unceremoniously removed from SP, the post was laying vacant for the last four days.

     On December 10 last unhappy with the style of functioning of Mohanty, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh removed him from the post of SP Dhamtari.

     Mohanty was removed from the post immediately after the Chief Minister returned back from a tour of that district.
