All offices at Balodabazar: CM

     Raipur, January 20, 2012: Facing strong resentment over renaming of Balodabazar, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today clarified that the district headquarters would continue to be Balodabazar.

     After people hit the street against renaming the district as Balodabazar-Bhatapara, an all party delegation of Balodabazar today met the Chief Minister and apprised him of the tense situation there.

     The Chief Minister had assured the delegation that the district headquarters would remain at Balodabazar.

     District Collectorate and the SP office have already been opened and shortly 32 other offices would be opened there, quoting Singh, a government release said here today.

     The name of Bhatapara is suffixed with Balodabazar while respecting the wish of the people of Bhatapara, the Chief Minister said adding that would not create any problem for the people.
