Raipur, September 24, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has started an ambitious housing scheme for rural populations of the state.
Chief Minister Baghel has started a new scheme, Chhattisgarh Gramin Awas Nyaya Yojana, under which rural populations will be given financial assistance for house construction, official sources said today.
In the Socio-economic statistical survey 2023 conducted in the state, it was found that 10 lakh 76 thousand 545 families are houseless and living in kachcha house, official sources said.
These families will be provided step wise financial assistance for construction of houses, they said.
In the first round 47 thousand 90 families will be provided assistance to construct houses under the new rural housing scheme, they said.
