Raipur, July 14, 2014: For the first time after its creation, a full time politician has been appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
Balram Jee Das Tandon has been appointed as the new Governor of Chhattisgarh.
Tandon is one of the founder members of Jan Sangh and had been the former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab.
So far two IPS, one IAS and one Army officer had been appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
The Governor designate has wished the people of Chhattisgarh peace and prosperity.
