Kanker, February 02, 2015: The Station House Officer of Bande Police Station Avinash Sharma and two jawans were killed in a Maoist ambush in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
Six jawans were injured in the gun battle, who are being airlifted to Raipur for further treatment.
Three villagers were also injured in the incident, who were trapped in the Maoist ambush.
The incident took place in Halbaras area of Bande police limit in Kanker district.
Additional forces have been rushed to the encounter site, they added.
